A battery energy storage installation is not a product that arrives, it is a bill of materials that has to converge. Enclosures, inverters, transformers, racking, cabling and control gear come from different suppliers on different lead times, and the site can only be built once they are all in the same place. The warehouse is where that convergence happens or fails.
Ordering early is the only defence against a long lead time, which means the first items land months before the site is ready. Holding them properly, and knowing exactly what is and is not yet in stock, is what lets a project manager commit to an energisation date.
Containerised enclosures and transformers are not pallet goods. They need floor space rather than racking, the right handling equipment at both ends, and a delivery sequence that matches the build rather than the order in which they arrived.
Lithium cells and modules fall under ADR, and storing them needs a warehouse certified for it. We do not hold that certification today. It is under discussion for the new Zeebrugge building, so if your project needs cell storage, raise it with us early and you will get a straight answer about what we can and cannot take.
We consolidate the non-hazardous scope in Zeebrugge, Liège and Hull, hold it until the site calls it off, and deliver on our own fleet of more than 120 tractors and 220 trailers. Customs clearance and bonded storage sit in the same company, which matters on imported inverters and cells.
