Middlegate Europe is looking for a Logistics Forwarder who runs shipments end-to-end across the EU and UK. You’ll coordinate carriers, terminals, customers, and customs — and you’ll keep the plan tight when reality gets messy.

What you’ll own

• Plan and execute shipments (road, sea, intermodal as needed)

• Book carriers, negotiate spot rates when required, and secure capacity

• Coordinate pickups/deliveries with terminals, depots, and warehouses

• Track shipments proactively and resolve exceptions fast (delays, damages, rollovers)

• Handle transport documents (CMR, booking refs, PODs) and keep data clean in TMS

• Work closely with warehousing and customs teams for smooth EU ↔ UK flows

• Keep customers informed with clear, useful updates — not noise

You bring

• Experience in forwarding / transport planning / dispatch (EU + UK is a plus)

• Strong communication: direct, calm, professional

• Commercial instinct: you understand costs, margins, and service trade-offs

• Organized under pressure — you can run 20 things without dropping one

• Comfortable with systems (TMS, Excel; EDI/portals are a plus)

• Fluent in English; Dutch/French is a strong plus
